Who are you and what do you do?
Bea Fagerholt
I’m the Founder of the To The Moon, Honey, media for women in – or on their way into – motherhood, as well as the newly launched skincare brand HONEY.

What inspires you?
Bea Fagerholt
Travelling has always been a key inspiration for me. From the cultural differences, to food, smells and decor. In my everyday life I am grateful to say that my work with women inspires me – it’s very powerful to feel the strong community and honesty between the women who tell their stories on our podcast and on our website.

Sustainability means many different things to many different people. What is the core meaning of sustainability to you, and how do you apply it to what you do?
Bea Fagerholt
It’s a combination of many things; craftsmanship and quality has always been a factor for me, regarding the things I surround myself with – that goes for the way I dress too. I would rather do without than compromise. This mindset has turned out to be sustainable because I will hold on to the items that I’ve put thought and effort into buying – those things will also automatically carry a certain story. It’s also especially true when it comes to the things I purchase for my home, which is filled with items from my childhood, travels, and items my boyfriend and I have chosen together.

What is your background, and how did you end up starting your own business?
Bea Fagerholt
My background is in the world of magazines, where I started working when I was 20 years old. I graduated from CBS with a BA in intercultural marketing communication, and I worked as a model in my younger days. I started ‘To The Moon, Honey’ after becoming a mother. I wanted to create what I had been missing during my own pregnancy and maternity leave: a space to share feelings and experiences.
Green Collective
How did you come up with the name for your site?
Bea Fagerholt
It was my co-founder Liv Winther who ended up nailing the final name – we wanted a name symbolizing the love and the many feelings motherhood serves you. “To The Moon” is a saying for how much you love the child, and we like the metaphor that it sends you to outer space as well.
Green Collective
Can you talk about the importance of self-care?
Bea Fagerholt
Women are taught to take care of everyone around them – which is lovely, but they need to fuel up too. Just as we are told on airplanes to put on our own mask before helping others, we should try to remember doing so on the ground as well. Self-care for me is a way to check in with myself, and it gives me a better starting point to meet my loved ones and surroundings.
Green Collective
How do you decide which brands to feature on your site?
Bea Fagerholt
Everything we do is from the heart – every story told is there to inspire and help others. We don’t feature a lot of brands, but if we do it’s because we want to share the benefits of this brand with our readers and listeners.
Green Collective
What are you excited about right now? Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Bea Fagerholt
I’m so excited about our new adventure with HONEY, our new skincare brand, which has just launched. Perfume-free and all natural, we are proud to have three certificates ensuring that all women in all life stages can use our products.
